Call for Collaborators to Conduct Case Studies on ICH and Ecosystems
IRCI is currently calling for collaborators to conduct case studies for its new project ‘Research on ICH Contributing to SDGs: Intangible Cultural Heritage and Ecosystems’ starting in April 2026.
The case study will be conducted on practical initiatives for safeguarding landscapes recognized for natural heritage or protected ecosystems (including UNESCO-designated sites such as Biosphere reserves and Geoparks). It should be also a collaborative effort with local communities in the Asia-Pacific region to safeguard their natural heritage by mobilizing intangible cultural heritage (ICH).
Please refer to the instructions for a detailed description of this call and its qualifications, and then download the application form.
The deadline for submitting application form is 30 January 2026.
Please contact IRCI (irci@nich.go.jp) for any queries concerning this call.
