Akio Arata, Director-General of IRCI, participated in the panel discussion at Tokyo Symposium on Cultural Heritage held on 20 May 2015 at Heiseikan, Tokyo National Museum. This symposium was co-organised by Sakai City and National Institutes for Cultural Heritage.

The symposium was attended by over 250 people. IRCI information panels were also displayed in the lobby.
