IRCI participated in the Fourteenth Session of the Governing Board Meeting of CRIHAP
The fourteenth session of the Governing Board Meeting of the International Training Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (CRIHAP) was held on 29 April 2025 in Beijing, China. In addition to the members of the governing board, observers from the Centre’s advisory committee and related institutions including IRCI and ICHCAP (UNESCO Category 2 centre in the field of intangible cultural heritage in the Republic of Korea) joined the meeting. From Japan, SATO Kuni (Deputy Director-General, National Institutes for Cultural Heritage) attended the meeting in place of the board member representing Japan. From IRCI, MACHIDA Daisuke (Director-General) and KIZAKI Chikako (Associate Fellow) joined as observers.
Its main discussion items were the report on CRIHSP’s activities in FY 2024 and the work plan for FY 2025. This meeting provided us with a valuable opportunity to update the scope of its activities and to have direct communication with the participants for further cooperation between the three UNESCO Category 2 centres in East Asia.
