Final Report of the ‘Research on ICH Safeguarding and Disaster Risk Management’ project (FY 2020-2023) was published in March 2024

The final report of IRCI’s four-year research project on ICH Safeguarding and Disaster Risk Management (FY 2020-2023), ‘Natural Hazards and the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage: Experiences from the Asia-Pacific Region’ was published online in March 2024.

The report consists of a summary of project activities and the results of case studies carried out in cooperation with researchers and organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, namely, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, the Philippines, and Viet Nam. There is also a contribution from the Cultural Heritage Disaster Risk Management Center showcasing the development of ICH safeguarding in the context of disasters in Japan.
