IRCI is pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative to systematically collect and provide information on NGOs working in the field of ICH safeguarding. This initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the ICH NGO Forum.

While the IRCI Research Database has been mapping ICH research, organizations and experts since 2013, the significant contributions of NGOs—particularly their organizational profiles and research publications—have not yet been fully integrated. This new initiative aims to fill this gap by inviting NGOs from across the Asia-Pacific region to submit information on their organizations and ICH-related publications.

The project will provide NGOs with a platform to increase the visibility of their activities and research outputs through both the IRCI Research Database and the ICH NGO Forum’s networks. By making this information more accessible, IRCI hopes to foster greater collaboration among NGOs, researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders, thereby strengthening regional and international cooperation for ICH safeguarding.

Participating organizations are requested to submit the following information:

1) Organizational information via an online entry form
2) Information on their research publications (such as project reports, journals, and books) using a Data Entry Sheet

The deadline for submissions is 30 January 2026.
