IRCI has published a project report under “ICH’s contribution towards SDGs project” which was commissioned by SDGs platform in the framework of the “Platform for Future Co-creation of UNESCO activities” of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan, since FY2020.

IRCI began the two-year research project this year. IRCI conducted a series of case studies of ICH’s contribution to SDG 4 “Quality Education” and SDG 11 “Sustainable cities and communities” in cooperation with 3 NGOs in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Kyrgyzstan. The project aimed at identifying the relation between ICH and SDGS, which will be effective measures on the safeguarding of ICH.
