Attendance to Sixth Session of the Governing Board of CRIHAP

The Sixth Session of the Governing Board of the International Training Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region (CRIHAP) was held on 23 February 2017 in Beijing, China. In addition to the 11 members of the governing board, 23 observers from 11 organisations such as the other UNESCO C2 centres of intangible cultural heritage in Korea (ICHCAP) and Japan (IRCI) joined the meeting. From Japan, Mitsuhiro Ikehara (Director, National Institutes for Cultural Heritage, Japan), Misako Ohnuki (Deputy Director-General, IRCI), and Yurika Sugino (Associate Fellow, IRCI) attended.

The meeting marked a new season for CRIHAP in the presence of Ms Rong Xu (former Director-General) and Mr Bin Liang (new Director-General), and Ikehara and other attendees emphasised the necessity to further enhance cooperation amongst UNESCO C2 centres.
