The ICOMOS Colloquium titled “Post-Trauma Reconstruction” was held on 4 March 2016 in Paris. Misako Ohnuki was invited to this colloquium to present a paper on “the pillars of recovery” reflecting the case studies in Sri Lanka and Timor-Leste on the revitalization of ICH in the post-conflict situations. Following the presentations in the morning, group sessions in the afternoon further explored related topics, and the summaries were shared at the end of the colloquium. Intensive discussions took place at the colloquium, with active participation of approximately 70 researchers including academics in related fields at Cambridge and Stanford Universities, as well as Syrian researchers whose national intangible heritage is in danger of disappearing.
