Presentation at the Japan Consortium for International Cooperation in Cultural Heritage

Shigeaki Kodama, Associate Fellow of IRCI, presented the results of IRCI’s Mapping Project in FY 2015 (Mapping Research for the Safeguarding of ICH in the Asia-Pacific Region) at the meeting of the subcommittee for planning of the Japan Consortium for International Cooperation in Cultural Heritage. The meeting was held on 29 February 2016 at the National Research Institute for Cultural Properties, Tokyo. His talk emphasized the significance of the systematic survey of ICH safeguarding research conducted for 17 countries in the Asia-Pacific region and sharing of collected data through IRCI’s research database. IRCI was able to receive positive feedbacks from the participants of the meeting that are beneficial for the activities in the following years.
