IRCI staff members visited Sri Lanka for the project “Research for Endangered Traditional Handicrafts”

Discussion with Hon. Douglas Devananda, Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprises Development

As a part of the project “Research for Endangered Traditional Handicrafts”, IRCI delegation (Misako Ohnuki, Deputy Director-General; and Shigeaki Kodama, Associate Fellow) visited Colombo, Sri Lanka on 18-19 September 2014. Having intensive meetings with four ministers and undersecretaries of related ministries such as the Ministry of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprises Development, and the Ministry of Culture and the Arts, the direction of practical research activities was discussed based on the recommendation drafted as a result of research in FY 2013.

(This project was conducted under the work plan approved at the 3rd Governing Board Meeting in Oct. 2014)
