Two discoveries have a special place in the history of human society. One is the discovery of bread, and the other is writing. Both of these national and spiritual inventions are the basis for the eternity of human history. The art of calligraphy is a unique direction of the culture of Eastern countries. It is known that the introduction and development of this ancient and classic art in Central Asia, in particular, Uzbekistan, is connected with the spread of Islam in this region. When the peoples of Central Asia accepted Islam, the ancient writings such as Uyghur, Orhun-Enasai, Sugdian, and Khorezmian, which were in practice there, went out of use, and the Arabic language and script became science, written creativity and the art of calligraphy, which has been preserved and refined for centuries, has a long history in the life of not only Arab and Ajam countries, but also the peoples of Asia. It is known that in the East, including in Central Asia, before the practice of book printing, books were prepared in the form of manuscripts, and they were reproduced by copying. The specialty of calligraphy as a craft is that it is passed down from teacher to student, from father to children. Master-student relationships are extremely important in deeply teaching this field to the younger generation and strengthening traditions. This tradition is getting stronger due to the presence of experienced calligraphers who are persistently teaching their knowledge to young people in Uzbekistan. Scientific articles of scientists, researchers, calligraphers and art historians in the field of calligraphy are included in this Collection. Opinions, conclusions and suggestions about the use of calligraphic art samples in national handicraft products are stated in them.
