The material and spiritual culture created by humankind is a whole. Religion, history, philosophy, traditions, customs and ceremonies are the branches of this great tree, khapk
and its creativity, outlook and intellectual discoveries are its roots. The cultural values and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people, like any other people in the world, have served as one of the spiritual sites of Orient for thousands of years. In addition, the region in which we live is a region of extremely diverse religious beliefs, religions, cultures and lifestyles. In a word, the territory of Uzbekistan is not only the East, but also one of the cradles of world civilization. This monograph is devoted to the analysis of ancient religious beliefs and rituals of the Uzbek people. The book contains comments on the historical development and evolution of religious beliefs before the introduction of Islam in Central Asia and their traces in traditional society. For the first time in the work, the symbiosis of Islamic and pre-Islamic religious beliefs in the lifestyle, family rituals, economic traditions and material culture of the Uzbek people are highlighted based on historical and ethnographic materials. The monograph is mainly intended for ethnologists, theologians and historians, as well as a wide readership interested in the history of the Uzbek people, ethno-national heritage, history of religious beliefs, ethno-culture, national rituals and traditions, in a word, the continuity of the Uzbek people.
