The rich and colorful folklore heritage of the Uzbek people is closely related to the diversity of its ethnic composition and the fact that the path of historical development passed through the Hoo River in Central Asia, one of the hotbeds of world civilization. It is because the area between Amudarya and Syrdarya has long been a crossroads of great migrations of ships and various political, cultural and economic relations. In this regard, it is enough to remember that only the Great Silk Road crossed this area almost completely. On the other hand, it is natural that economic, political and cultural development took place in the place where the trade routes passed. Central Asian territory, including the history of ethnic groups and states that appeared between two rivers, has an important place in the history and development of the whole world. The Uzbek people are made up of three major ethnic groups: the Qarluq, Kipchak and Oguz tribes. The nucleus of today's Uzbek people appeared because of the mutual destruction of the two nations. This study guide was created based on the latest achievements of Uzbek folklore. Special attention was paid to showing the unique aspects, composition of genres and unique artistry of Uzbek folklore. The study guide is intended for students of higher educational institutions in the direction of culture and art. It is also recommended to participants of folklore-ethnographic groups in Uzbekistan and those interested in this subject.
