Description
Chinggis Khan Institute of Heritage and Culture was established under the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia by Order No. 142 of 2019 of the Government of Mongolia, and has been working under the Ministry of Culture since 2020. The Institute is a cultural and scientific organization that aims to in-depth study, promote and disseminate the role, heritage, culture and achievements of Genghis Khan in the history of Mongolia and the world, as well as the history of his descendants.
By researching the key to the existence of the Mongolian state in the 13th and 14th centuries, the features of national thought, history, and cultural values, the institute has put it into research circulation and promoted it to the public. It aims to create conditions and opportunities for centralized research and development of Chinggis Khan studies as an independent branch of Mongolian studies. It includes:
1. To glorify Genghis Khan's actions and role in Mongolian and world history
2. Spread and publicize the history of Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire internationally.
3. To develop Genghis Khan studies as a branch of Mongolian studies
4. Create a unified database of documents related to Genghis Khan's heritage and culture
5. To conduct basic research for the development of historical tourism.
