Description
First established in 1975, it is an academic institution attached to the University of Culture and Arts with the mission of carrying out cultural and artistic research to support the safety of Mongolia's civilization, the sustainable development of the cultural sector, and the development of Mongolian people.
The institute has three main units: "Cultural Studies and Heritage Sector", "Art Studies Sector", and "Cultural Policy and Innovation Sector". It also has a "Research Document Library" and an "Advanced Library".
Among the main areas of research of the institute, the following are the ones that are important for CSOs:
- Cultural theory, history, philosophy
- Cultural space, multicultural integration, intercultural relations
- Cultural values
- Cultural heritage
- Cultural policy studies
- Culture and art education
- Cultural innovation and creative production
- Culture and art education studie etc.
