Description
The Institute was established on the basis of the Tashkent State Institute of Culture and the State Art Institute of Uzbekistan according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 1771 of June 4, 2012.
The institute is considered a unique higher education institution that trains specialists in a number of narrow specializations directly related to the sphere of culture and art. Science and art, creative activity and practical technologies are combined in the educational process at the educational institution.
In 4 faculties and 18 departments of our institute, students study 30 areas of education and 8 specialties. The institute prepares specialists in the fields of acting and directing, art studies and theater studies, sound directing and cinematography, folk art, management of culture and art institutions.
Currently, more than 1,600 students and graduate students study at the institute. 225 teachers working at the institute, including 33 professors, 45 associate professors and candidates of science, 23 pedagogues who have served in the field of science, education, art and culture, and who have the honorary title of education has been ensuring that it is at a high level.
Modern computer technologies are actively used in the educational process, multimedia equipment and software tools are used. The educational process is carried out in cooperation with cultural institutions.
Artistic and creative activity occupies an important place in the life of the institute. Many creative teams and studios of students established at the institute are actively participating in various festivals and competitions.
The pages of the newspaper "Creative flight" published in the institute tell about the events in the life of the school that excited students and teachers. The institute is also active in the field of international relations and is considering mutually beneficial offers from foreign higher educational institutions for the training of skilled personnel in the field of art and culture.
