Description Culture and Arts Authority, Implementing Agency of the Government of Mongolia is responsible for organizing and ensuring the implementation of legislation, presidential decrees, and government and ministerial decisions. It has the following functions as provided by law. It includes:
- organization of implementation of cultural legislation at the national level;
- compile and analyze cultural statistics;
- reporting and researching the intangible cultural heritage, determining and registering the inheritors of the intangible cultural heritage
- to cooperate with culture and art professional associations, public and private organizations, and provide support and assistance to them.

According to the law on the protection of cultural heritage, the census of cultural heritage is conducted once every 5 years at the national level, and the folk art festival is organized in charge.
