| Description | In this article is taken into consideration the account of modern literary approaches to the study of the anecdote about Khoja Nasreddin as a genre. The author examines the history of its appearance and questions of its poetics and shows the general genre features and specific features of anecdotes about Khoja Nasreddin. In particular, the article is concerned with the relevance of the study, caused by the lack of knowledge of the poetics of the latif genre, the growth of the significant role of folklore in the development of modern literature, the small number of studies on the genre originality of literary works, the hero of which is Khoja Nasreddin, as well as the lack of comparative studies of anecdotes about Nasreddin with the eastern genre of shakhrashub. The author emphasizes the diversity of ideas of folklorists and literary critics about the genre of anecdotes, which is justified by the author of the article with numerous examples—texts of anecdotes about Khoja Nasreddin. Based on the research available in Russian literary studies, including anecdotes about Nasreddin in Karachay-Balkar folklore, the author of the article points out such characteristic features of anecdotes about Nasreddin as the social and everyday character associated with the history of the creation of the analyzed anecdotes, acute satirical orientation, buffoonery and foolishness as a unifying factor of all anecdotes about Nasreddin, features of the structure of the anecdote: the lack of plot, exposition, and denouement, dialogic construction, the role of conflict in revealing the character, as well as the role of the narrator. In conclusion, the perspective of the study of anecdotes about Nasreddin is indicated. |
