In this article, an attempt was made to reveal the historic sources of folk legends and, moreover, to define their genre features according to the texts and their variants. In order to clarify the genre particularity of legends, in the center of the article is described several variants of the legend about the fortress Qahqaha in Namadgut, Ishkashim district. Here arise doubts about the existence of Qahqaha as a historical personality. There are no reliable facts about Qahqaha as a historical person. Nevertheless, according to some sources and from the very content of the legends, it can be assumed that Qahqaha is not absolutely a mythical or fictional person. Since it is impossible to come to certain conclusions regarding their essence and genre features based on a single text of some types of oral works. From the contents of most legends, it is possible to conclude that in some places of mountainous Badakhshan, people lived at a time when they did not have a single religion moreover, they lived in a disparate environment. Thus, from these statements we once again to conclude that a researcher can make a judgment about the features of different folklore works only if he has several of their versions. |
