| Description | The first major contribution of PNG music to what is probably the most important English-language music encyclopedia was by the first researcher to write a dissertation on PNG music based upon their recordings. Instruments are considered, as are large group performances. Although many Highlands examples are given, based upon the author's research focus, there is also consideration of lowland traditions, often highlighting contrasts and similarities, where apparent. |
