Description
Dance Cheilaho Anaknenu and Oleleleo are traditional dances originating in the Luro village in the Lautem administrative post. These two dances are favored by the grandparents to showcase at cultural events and other communal activities within the community. They were created to cheer up, encourage, and bring together people who are feeling sad or going through difficult situations. Moreover, the massacre that took place in Luro village in 1983 caused many men to leave their wives and children. As a result, these women and their children sang and danced the Tebe Cheilaho Anaknenu and Oleleleo to alleviate their feelings of sadness and loneliness.
