Description
Odi is a traditional dance accompanied by singing, performed during the rice harvest. The community gathers to sort the rice grains and separate them from the rice stalks by dancing and singing over them. This process takes at least a week and is mostly done at night. Therefore, Odi is important not only for aiding in threshing but also for motivating and inspiring participants to continue dancing until the rice is fully sorted and separated from the stalks.
